Be the Cause of Your Life

Are you giving your power away?

Have you reached a brick wall in your thought process, decision making or outlook on life?

I remember that feeling. I remember feeling bitter and resentful towards people who in my opinion made decisions in my behalf that affected me and thinking “It’s their fault!”

I remember being sick and tired of being everyone else’s emotional and financial support system. But when I was in need, no one seemed to reciprocate.

I remember feeling limited at work because I didn’t have the same education as others and thinking I would never be successful.

My Life was the Effect of Everyone Else’s Problem!

Over and over again I found reasons to justify my perspective and continued to sink deeper and deeper into a self loathing behavior.

If someone yelled at me, I cowered and would spend days and weeks

So, how do you pull yourself up out of a rut and turn your own life around?

How did I allow love, trust, and kindness for others to flow within my heart?

How did I improve my self worth, learn to speak up for myself and set healthy boundaries?

How did I position myself to be a successful Accounting professional and overcome imposter syndrome?

It started by choosing to become the Cause rather than the Effect of my life.

The Law of Cause and Effect

In order to manifest anything (love, motivation, career, finances, etc.) you must see the correlation between the problem, issue, or life pattern and YOU.

There are two primary choices in life; to accept conditions as they exist, or accept the responsibility for changing them.

Self empowerment begins with accepting responsibility for change.

It’s more about choice than blame. I want you to read that again.

If blaming someone else used to be your pattern of thinking, it’s time to STOP. Blaming is how you used to give your power away. But, it’s self destructive and victim behavior.

Victims blame. Victors choose.

Now, you must CHOOSE.

…to respond in a healthful, effective manner.
